Setting Sail

Waiting for the Sea

Waiting for the Sea

It didn't make much sense, you know, how the ships stood with no direction in the unmanageable mud.

There was no logical possibility of them ever departing, much less escaping, somehow. They were abandoned, waiting for the sea to return.
And then it became obvious how close to shore the seemingly hopeless ships had clung.

The illusion of safety had caused their decay, leaving them useless.
At least until the sea returns, because then, they will be, once again, ready to set sail.
