Distance & It's Way

Home, Always

Home, Always

I've been, willfully, removed from my comfort.

And I am constantly finding, that comfort in itself is not what I miss the most.
Surely, I am most comfortable asleep in my own bed, running on roads near home, driving in a car, eating my typical foods, and the list goes on. But these things - these objects are ones I can definitely live without. Here I find the adventure: being chased by dogs on long runs down foreign roads, trying new foods and experiencing varying views on nutrition, riding a squeaky yellow bicycle miles to town, and so it goes.

Rather than missing comfort and familiarity, these are some of the things I miss the most, in no particular order - aspects of life that cannot ever be replaced, regardless of worldly location.

The list will grow. Guaranteed. But I know that I'm growing too. The aforementioned blessings will always be part of who I am, no matter where my feet may wander.
