Courage & Confidence

“Act confident and no one will question you.” 

Thats’ the confident thing to say, isn’t it? 

Many people will question you, but it likely has more to do with them than with you.

This evening at mass, God continued connecting the dots. It’s the strangest thing - as if every gospel and every homily at every mass I’ve been to so far in Munich are meant for me in some way. Every struggle I face in these early summer weeks is gently validated.  

The struggles make me think I’m doing something right, even though to the world, I’m doing everything wrong. 

And that's the thing. I'm finally confident in my conclusion, though it's been a long time coming, that doing what the world approves is such a waste of time.

John 17:11-20

We are not of this world, but we are here nevertheless - to live the truth, not to hide it.
