Pure and Simple. Life.

The sky was a gentle, pastel bloodshot. The summer air was all too overwhelming, albeit chilly for the season. The music softly blasted to our ears, the ears of the little ones, too. The words rang deep.
The little boy, growing too fast, I’ll mention, embraced his youth and I, being who I am, wished only to pull out my phone and capture the blowing blonde strands atop his sunburnt head, the half squinted eyes, and the intense, yet innocent curiosity of his disposition. Had my hands not been on the wheel, I very well may have taken a video of this grand moment.
It was grand for me. It was ordinary for my brothers – the sweet blonde one in the front and the precious smiling one in the back.

And capturing this moment in words, I think, is the better end of the deal. I didn’t pull out my phone in harsh and inevitable distraction. I experienced every aspect of that lovely summer evening.

And I believe that this is how it was meant to be. This, pure and uninterrupted, is how life should be lived.
