Die Schnauze Voll.
It’s really quite a shame how little I’m actually speaking german. I’m obviously using the language quite a bit - between reading train schedules, advertisements on the subway, or simply in the grocery store. But actually speaking? Well that’s about a million times harder than it would be, simply because I don’t tend to speak much in English as it is. And work is all in English. And so is roommate and fellow intern communication.
Nevertheless: I’m finding ways to learn german. And this one new phrase makes me laugh every time.
”Mutti hat die Schnauze voll? Verdien dein eigenes Geld!”
(says an advertisement I see just about everyday.)
That’s all for now.
